Computer Lab

Cardinal Hayes has been an early and proactive adopter of technology as both an instructional tool for its faculty and as a teaching and research resource for its students.  In 1998, through a gift by William F. Reilly, CHHS created two state of the art computer labs, each having 40 stations that are used by teachers of all disciplines to convey course material through interactive learning sessions and multi-media display devices.  CHHS has repeatedly invested in it two primary computer labs over the years by replacing PC desktops every 3 years, increasing bandwidth, enhancing Smart Board connectivity and installing current version software throughout its enterprise.
In addition to the student workstations maintained in the main computer labs, students have access to PC desktops in both the Library and Guidance Department.  Students are encouraged to use the Library work stations for research, obtaining online access to homework assignments and standardized testing practice.

Students also have access to PC Desktops in the Guidance Department not only for general coursework use, but to research colleges and universities through the NAVIANCE system.
